Instalación
- Upload /stream-status-for-twitch/ to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory
- Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ screen in WordPress
- Use the «Appearance->Customize->Stream Status for Twitch Plugin» screen to configure and customize the plugin

What's the point of having a sidebar widget if there's no way to deactivate the floating status message? I would rather have the widget as the float status interferes with the page.
Still, so far, it works. Not exactly as intuitive as I would have liked, but there are few choices in the WordPress repository.

It seems like it's not working with WordPress 5.4.1
Please consider updating the plugin.

Great plugin, does exactly what it should, unfortunately seems abandoned and hasn’t been updated to the latest Twitch API and thus has stopped working.

There are too many free plugins like this and it's a real deal breaker that the free version have no option to disable the floating bar. Using a widget is a total waste of time since there is the floating bar no matter what you do. Basically, the free version is more useless than it sounds.

1. It does what it's intended to do. Shows the online/offline status of the channel, with customization available for each status message.
2. It works well, even the cache speedups or CSS/HTML/JavaScript optimizations don't interfere with it's functionality.
3. It's light on the memory/cache, easy to set up, is small and not in the way of the customer/reader/visitor's site-viewing experience.
