Description: Easily create Tracking Events to be sent to Google Analytics. This Plugin only adds the Tracking Script to your website.
It does not offer any reports. To view the Tracking details, you will need to login to your Google Analytics account that is associated with this website.
Google Analytics Reports for Event Tracking are in real time, so you should be able to see the results immediately from your Google Analytics account.

Requirements

  • jQuery
  • Google Analytics Tracking Code with or without Universal Code
  • WordPress 3.5 or above

  • Import Settings from another Site.
  • Advanced Settings to delay the links to elements.

Instalación

  1. Upload the gravitate_event_tracking folder to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory
  2. Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress
  3. You can configure the Plugin Settings in Settings -> Gravitate Event Tracking

This plugin might no longer be updated or maintained, but I installed it anyways and it works like a charm in WordPress 5.1.1. So if you are wondering about compatibility, it's still working.

Best Plugin to track clicks on internal links even in wp-menu!

For two hours I'm trying to track internal clicks on my wp-menu links with google analytics. I tried to add onclick but it's not that easy for custom wp menus. This is the best plugin for tracking internal links no matter if it's just a menu links or download links or contact form submissions or even how far your users scrolled your page. I can only recommend this to everyone because it helps to understand your users and gets you insights how to optimize your site. I hope you will continue developing it and I'm sure a lot of people should use it but are not aware of how it can help them This plugin is awesome, thank you so much!!

A huge time saver for event tracking

I'm so grateful that Gravitate Design took the time to create this plugin. I haven't found any other like it. It is one of my essential plugins that I use again and again. It has made it so much easier to get meaningful insights through Google Analytics through event tracking. I have found it pretty easy to use and quite flexible too.

First off, I really like your plugin. It's easy to use and very extensible. But I noticed that the script is not enqueue properly. This was an issue when I minified my javascript files. So I made some changes listed below. If it's not too much trouble, can you include this in the next release of this plugin? Removed the script on line: 730. Added the following rule on line 36: wp_enqueue_script('gravitate_event_tracking', plugins_url( 'gravitate_event_tracking.js', __FILE__ ), array(), GETGA_VERSION, true); Thanks in advance. NOTE: When needing to use the Delay Re-Capture make sure your Selectors are unique to the elements that get created. Otherwise it may find another match on load and will not fire the delay to capture the other elements.
